Wolf Safety is pleased to announce senior management changes that will take effect from 1st July, marking an important next step in the continued development of the business.

From 1st July, 2026, Alex Jackson, currently Managing Director, moves into the role of Chief Executive Officer, while Miles Jackson, currently Sales & Marketing Director, will become Managing Director.
The changes, effective from the 1st of July, 2026, reflect both continuity and progression for Wolf Safety, ensuring the company remains focused on its long-term strategy, its people and customers, and its commitment to delivering high-quality ATEX and IECEx certified lighting solutions for safe use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Alex becomes CEO after 14 years as Managing Director, a period in which Wolf Safety has continued to grow, adapt and invest despite a number of significant market and global challenges. During his time as MD, the company has successfully navigated the oil price downturn of 2014, the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, three difficult years of COVID-19, and increasing competition from around the world.
Alongside these challenges, there have also been many important milestones. Wolf Safety celebrated its centenary year in 2012, achieved its best-ever sales performance, expanded its external sales presence, appointed a UK Sales Manager and established a permanent presence in Dubai to support the important Middle East market.
Alex’s time as Managing Director has also seen significant development of the company’s product portfolio. Wolf Safety has established and grown its Wolf-designed Temporary Lighting range, including the LX-400 and LX-400E LinkEx™ Luminaires, the WF-300XL and WF-250XL Floodlites, and the WL-50 Worklite™. The company has also redesigned the Airlamp range, launched the Installed Lighting range and introduced the new Wolf Towerlite™, as well as other developments within the Wolf Area Lighting range.
Investment has also continued at Wolf Safety’s Sheffield site, including the addition of further warehouse space in 2023. These developments have helped strengthen the business, improve capability, and support the company’s future growth.
Reflecting on his time as Managing Director, Alex has paid tribute to the Wolf Safety team and the part they have played in the company’s progress. He said:
“Wolf is in a better position than ever after more than 110 years, employing many people and in a stronger state, despite the numerous challenges we’ve faced together over the last 14 years. This is all thanks to the entire Wolf Team. I’m very pleased and proud to have worked alongside all of you — in my opinion, the best team that Wolf has ever had.”
As Alex moves into the CEO role, Miles Jackson will take on responsibility as Managing Director, bringing with him extensive experience of the business, its markets, customers, and international sales channels.
Speaking about the new role, Miles said:
“Wolf Safety is a family business, built on long-term thinking, responsibility, and people who care deeply about what we do. This change is about continuing that stewardship, protecting what makes the company strong and ensuring we keep moving forward.”
Miles also emphasised the importance of the people across the company, adding:
“I’m really proud of what the company has achieved, and that is down to the people who work here. I’m looking forward to working more closely with the management team and all departments as we build on Wolf Safety’s heritage and move into the company’s next chapter.”
The changes represent an important moment for Wolf Safety, combining experience, continuity, and a clear focus on the future. As the company looks ahead, its priorities remain clear: supporting customers, investing in people and products, and continuing to provide reliable, certified safety lighting solutions for use in some of the world’s most challenging workplaces.
During the transition period, Miles will continue to oversee Sales & Marketing until a new appointment is made, ensuring continuity for customers, distributors and the wider Wolf Safety team.
Everyone at Wolf Safety would like to thank Alex for his leadership as Managing Director and wish both Alex and Miles every success in their new roles.
Alex Jackson and Miles Jackson mark the next stage in Wolf Safety’s senior management progression, as the company looks ahead with continuity, experience and a clear focus on the future.
